Medical Treatments For Infertility

Depending on your diagnosis, there are a number of medical treatments we may be able to use to treat your infertility. Although all of our treatments are “medical” in nature, we use the term medical here to distinguish these treatments from assisted reproductive technologies, such as IVF, that require the use of an IVF laboratory.

Common medical treatments include:

Ovulation Induction

Ovulation Induction is the use of medications to enhance the production and release of eggs from the ovaries. Ovulation induction is indicated in both unexplained infertility and in women who have an ovulation disorder such as PCOS and shortened luteal phase.

Ovulation Tracking

Ovulation Tracking is the use of blood work and ultrasound to monitor your cycle and determine the best timing for intercourse or artificial insemination.

Artificial Insemination (IUI)

Also know as Intrauterine Insemination or IUI, this procedure consists of enhancing sperm function through a washing and filtration process in our in house laboratory followed by the placement of sperm directly into the uterus using a small sterile catheter.
